Raised in Midland, Jennifer attended Midland College and The University of the Permian Basin. She double majored in Psychology and Child and Family Studies, has a minor in Math, and an Early Childhood (through 4th grade) Teaching Certification. Jennifer and her husband, Marcus, have three adult/teenage boys and a grandson. The Lopez family also includes three dogs: Stella, Koda, and Minnow.

She enjoys playing mahjong with friends, working on puzzles, cross stitching, and listening to audiobooks!
