“I am fascinated by how malleable the human brain is, and I love watching how seemingly simple interventions can make big changes in kids’ lives! Being able to watch kids get excited about their lives is an incredible thing.”

Jessica Neves is an Occupational Therapist at MCRC. She was born in Pampa, Texas and moved to Lubbock when she was 12. She graduated from Coronado High School and went on to Texas Tech University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in general studies, minoring in psychology, sociology and biology. Jessica became interested in pursuing a career in therapy when she was taking a therapeutic riding class at Tech and was able to work alongside an OT and PT. Her interest grew when she was taking a dance class and learned that a well-known dancer had rehabilitated himself after a stroke through therapeutic dance. Jessica has always loved dance, and she was excited to see how therapy could fit with it. In 2010, she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

She moved to Midland when she married her husband, Zack, and they live happily here with their son, Owen, and dog, Twyla. She loves being a mom to Owen and watching him grow and turn ornery just like his daddy. She enjoys reading, especially memoirs or books about neuroplasticity. She also loves music and watching her husband play guitar at his shows!
